BCAAs stands for “Branched Chain Amino Acids.” Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. The adequate amount of BCAAs depend on what your fitness goal and the amount of protein you are taking on a daily basis.

In general, the BCAA rule is that of a ratio to your body weight:

For lean muscle growth: 30% of body weight in kg = Grams of BCAAs

For fat loss: 15% of body weight in kg = Grams of BCAAs

For intensive cardio: 20% of body weight in kg = Grams of BCAAs
